Sydnee came into my bathroom to get her hair fixed for school the other morning, and after the run up the stairs she said, "I can hear my heart beeping!" I kinda laughed and said, "You mean beating?"
Sydnee laughed and said, "What? Bea-ting? That sounds silly mom!"

I think she may picked up that lingo from my kids. They always say beeping. We've tried to correct them but like Syd they think beeping sounds better. I think it is partially from hospital experiences where they've heard the monitors beep.
