Christmas Day

The excitement flared up at 7:30 around our house. The girls came and woke Justin and me up, and we headed downstairs to see what Santa brought. There was quite a flurry of sifting through piles and stockings right away (instant mess that lasted through the weekend.)

It didn't take too long to get all the gifts unwrapped. The family got a Wii from Santa along with some games and the movie UP. Great Gma and Gpa Putnam gave us a really fun cat/mouse game. The girls have loved playing it.

*quick note of gifts- Justee got some fun balls and a kaleidoscope from Sydnee, a piano book from gma/pa Hyde, a snow globe from Thompsons, and some pjs from gma/pa D.
*Char got a littlest pet shop set from Justee, a "Little old lady who swallowed a fly" doll set from gma/pa Hyde, some books from Thompsons, and pjs from gma/pa D.
*Sydnee got a Strawberry Shortcake doll from Chuck, a piggy bank to paint from gma/pa Hyde, a tea set from Thompsons, and pjs from gma/pa D. Syd and Bella (her hair cracks me up)
Renae and Keith came over for Christmas dinner and a little Wii action. We played Mario Bros for over 2 hours. It was so funny watching Keith die over and over again, and giving him crap (he had never played a Mario game before so I have to give him credit for how well he did...and what a good sport he was.)
Dinner was really good and Renae made some delicious sweet potatoes...Justin liked them ;)

Something must have been funny at this point.
It was a great Christmas and I know the girls and I were VERY grateful to have Justin with us this year. We missed our extended family, but at the same time, it was nice to not have to travel and pack up and haul Christmas back and forth.

I love Syd's guinea pig and maybe since it is a little bigger than a hamster the cat won't get it this time! Ha Ha Glad you guys had a good Christmas! We enjoyed staying home this year too! It is much easier!
