Sydnee had to get a tooth pulled at the dentist today.
She didn't like it very much, which explains the look on her face in the picture. Justin went with her while I stayed with the other girls. He didn't like it very much either. Sydnee didn't cry at all, but she was pretty scared after she felt the first shot. She has to go back to get another tooth fixed and I don't think she is very interested in going back to the dentist. Now she gets to put her tooth under her pillow for the Tooth Fairy though, and she is excited about that.
We went to Fort Fun on Sat. and had a really fun time with the girls. They loved playing all the little arcade games and getting tickets. At the end Sydnee and Charlee picked out some prizes to buy with their tickets. Among other things, they both picked out little flashlights. By the end of the night Charlee's had stopped working. When Sydnee was done at the dentist she got to pick out a toy. They happened to have the same little flashlights, and Sydnee (being the wonderful big sister she is) picked out a flashlight. She said it was for Charlee because her flashlight broke. I was touched that after Sydnee had to suffer at the dentist, she still thought of someone else first; and she didn't pick out a toy for herself but for her sister. What a sweet girl.

Your story made me cry. I am so glad that, never mind any flaws they may have, our children have good hearts. It reminded me of when Jada was in the hospital and the nurse gave her a choice of a rubber ink stamper. Instead of picking one she would like she picked a dinosaur one knowing, "My brother will like this one" and "may I pick one for my sisters". She never even took one for herself. It was always that with her. Give Syd a big hug from all of us.
